Summary: Fixed broken POM description in scriptaculous
Now, this one is a real PITA. In Maven 2, if you have a pom.xml that has a description element with a line break inside of it. This line-break will show up in the Jar's Manifest file.
This will create a JAR which is technically not valid, so when you try to use the JAR in an app server it'll usually not find the class because it rejects the JAR outright (of course, it does this silently just to make it more difficult to debug).
So, in Maven 2 you can't have a description element with a line-break in it, it'll cause classloaders to barf, this patch puts the description on a single line in the pom.xml.
This is a known issue in Maven, the problem is in the Jar plugin.
